FAQ

Questions parents ask us

Straight answers on registration, pricing, groupings and what to expect. If your question is not here, call us and we will answer it directly.

How do I register my athlete?
Open the Programs page, choose your athlete's grade band or the type of training you want, then select Register on the session. That opens our WellnessLiving booking system where you complete checkout. You do not need to download an app to register.
Do I have to buy a full package, or can we try one session?
Most classes list both a package rate and a single drop-in rate on the program card. If a session shows a drop-in price, you can book a single class first and decide from there.
How are groups organised?
Sessions are grouped by grade band, such as Kindergarten to 2nd grade, 3rd to 4th, 5th to 6th, Modified and Freshman, JV, and Varsity and College. Several sessions are run separately for boys and girls, and the card tells you which.
My second grader is new to basketball. Which class fits?
Second graders who are new to basketball are welcome in the Kindergarten to 1st grade classes. If you are unsure, call us and we will point you to the right starting place.
What is the difference between a class and private training?
Classes follow a set curriculum with a group of players at a similar level. Private training is one to four players, personally designed around that athlete, and is available seven days a week.
Do you work with teams or coaches?
Yes. We run sessions built around a team's needs, including full practices, skill specific blocks or a season long plan. Email dschaffer@hoopsstrength.com with details about your program.
Where are you located and when are you open?
We are at 1225 Jefferson Road, Rochester, NY 14623. Open hours are Monday to Friday 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturday to Sunday 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Which communities do you serve?
Families travel to us from Rochester and across Western New York, including Fairport, Brockport, Batavia, Medina, Geneseo, Canandaigua, Geneva and Penn Yan.
What should my athlete bring?
Court shoes, athletic clothing and a water bottle. A ball is not required for classes, since we provide equipment at the facility.
What if a session is full or I do not see the right fit?
Call (585) 565-4667 during open hours. The booking calendar always shows current availability, and we can tell you what is coming up next for your athlete's level.
